I used to spend hours per day on writing.
The result was a few tweets that performed poorly.
It was frustrating and it took up a lot of mental space.
That's why I started to to think of faster ways to do it.
After a lot of iteration I found a 5-step system that works fantastic.
It allows me to write 50 high-quality tweets in only 60 minutes.
This is one of the many things I explain in my ā€‹X Growth System courseā€‹.
Let's dive into it.
I don’t scroll.
I don’t check notifications.
I only consume mindfully.
This alone will already save you a ton of time.
Your attention is a currency.
Your ability to focus determines the outcomes you’ll get.
So determine:
Pick 5 mentors.
Ignore everyone else.
Take notes when you consume.
This gives you great ideas for when you write.
Consume mindfully.
People complain about leaving comments.
But they fail to realize the opportunity it holds.
Comments are opportunities to:
Most comments won’t be worth repurposing.
But some of them will be great.
Paste these great ones in your content scheduler.
I use ā€‹Hypefuryā€‹.
Don’t edit or schedule them.
We’ll get to that in a minute.
Just save them for now.
Repurpose comments.
Start saving tweets that perform well.
Once a week I scroll through my tweets.
I copy any tweet that has more than 150 likes and I paste it into a Notion folder.
Create new folders for each month to keep it organized.
So when it comes time to write - you know what did well for you in the past.
This makes the process much easier.
Repurpose your winners.
Great ideas are scarce.
You know you’ve found a great idea when it consistently performs well.
This is where the Notion folder will come in handy.
Having all your best tweets in one place helps to spot patterns.
Once you find a great idea - it’s time to quantify it.
Great writers don’t have 1000 great ideas.
They rewrite one great idea in 1000 different ways.
This has massive benefits:
Rewrite your winners.
This is where it all comes together.
Right now you have:
Now all that’s left is to turn them into new tweets.
On Thursday morning I grab some black coffee and I start writing.
I’ve already done the legwork by the time I start batching.
On bad days it takes me 2 hours to write them all.
On good days it takes me less than an hour.
Start batching content.
Do this to save 9+ hours per week.
